Fox News National Security Analyst KT McFarland on Japan Backing Up Its Threats against China and North Korea

Japan has been accused of trying to change the status quo, most notably during the collapse of talks between the Japanese and Chinese governments over the Senkaku Islands. The nuclear deal between the United States and North Korea spurred Japan to be more assertive in the region, and more than a few eyebrows were raised.

Fox News National Security Analyst KT McFarland joined Kilmeade & Friends to discuss. McFarland said that it seems as though Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is taking the reins on defense capabilities.

While the Japanese PM may not have the public opinion to match America’s threats against China and North Korea, McFarland said the worry is that the Chinese will “stop at nothing to try to steal or change the status quo in the Japanese and South Korean alliance to their detriment.”
